Report: UCLA OC Noel Mazzone taking same position at Texas A&M

Earlier this week, the Texas A&M Aggies lost another big piece of their coaching staff as offensive coordinator Jake Spavital was fired by head coach Kevin Sumlin. However, the team wasted little time finding his replacement and they went out west to do so.

According to multiple reports, UCLA offensive coordinator Noel Mazzone is expected to sign a three-year deal with the Aggies to run their offense. This is a huge get for Texas A&M as Mazzone led one of the better offenses in the PAC-12 during the 2015 season.

This season, the Bruins were led by freshman phenom Josh Rosen and finished in the top 30 for scoring. Fans can only imagine what Mazzone will be able to do with the Aggies’ offense, which will likely be led by Trevor Knight, in 2016.
