Report: Matt Canada to be new Pittsburgh OC

This offseason has certainly been full of coordinators leaving and taking new jobs across the country. The Pittsburgh Panthers lost their offensive coordinator, Jim Chaney, to the Georgia Bulldogs in December and they have found their replacement.

According to reports, recently fired NC State offensive coordinator Matt Canada will take over Chaney’s position with the Panthers. Canada led the Wolfpack’s offense to one of their best seasons in 2014 as they racked up over 5,300 yards, the fourth-most in team history.

Canada has also had stints at Wisconsin, Northern Illinois, and Indiana. He helped lead all four teams to bowl games and a conference championship at Wisconsin and NIU.
