4-star Texas QB was preparing for 2016 season during national championship game

For many people involved in the sports world, their eyes were locked on ESPN last night as Alabama and Clemson battled in one of the best national championship games we have seen this century. For a few others, however, they were busy preparing for the future.

That is exactly what Kai Locksley, four-star freshman quarterback for the Texas Longhorns, was doing last night. He posted a photo of him working out as he gets ready for the 2016 season.

Locksley will likely compete with Tyrone Swoopes and Jerrod Heard for the starting job in the spring, so this just shows that he is dedicated to possibly taking the Longhorns to the national championship game during his career.

The Longhorns may be a few years away from being a national power again, but Locksley seems determined to help them get back to that status as soon as possible.
