Clemson CB Mackensie Alexander declares for 2016 NFL Draft

The Clemson Tigers have continued to lose big names on the defensive side of the ball after their loss in the national championship game on Monday. Both starting defensive ends, Shaq Lawson and Kevin Dodd, declared for the 2016 NFL Draft on Wednesday with one more just following them.

ESPN’s Joe Schad just confirmed that cornerback Mackensie Alexander has declared for the 2016 NFL Draft.

He had been toying with the idea of staying, especially since he can play for at least two more years.

The redshirt sophomore is one of the top names in the NFL Draft this April and he is projected to be a late first-round to early second-round pick. This is after he recorded 44 tackles, 11 pass deflections, and a fumble recovery in two seasons with the Tigers.
