Video: Blair Walsh visit first graders who wrote him letters

Minnesota Vikings kicker Blair Walsh has had a pretty tough week. Last Sunday, the Vikings were trailing the Seattle Seahawks 10-9 with just seconds left in the game when they lined up for a potentially game-winning field goal that seemed like a chip shot.

Walsh pushed the kick wide right and the Seahawks won the game. The kicker instantly became the butt of many jokes and the subject of much criticism and hate from around the league.

One group of first graders decided to make him feel better by sending him letters full of compliments ranging from “You are handsome” to “I hope the Vikings win the Super Bowl this year.” Walsh decided to repay the nice gesture by paying the Northpoint Elementary class a visit on Thursday.

These kinds of things really put the sport of football into perspective. Good move, Blair.
