Since Syracuse and UConn both moved on from the Big East into new conferences, the two bitter rivals haven’t met up with each other again. The two teams haven’t played each other since 2013 and they are hoping to meet up once again in the not-too-distant future.
Both the Huskies and the Orange have been working on a future matchup and it looks like that could come in the 2016-17 season. UConn head coach Kevin Ollie is pretty confident that his Huskies will get to meet up with their rivals once again.
Kevin Ollie said "hopefully" uconn will play syracuse next year. I'm told details are still being worked out.

Since the Orange made the jump over to the ACC, they have done a good job of scheduling former Big East rivals like Georgetown and St. John’s. Wouldn’t it be nice to see them take the court with the Huskies on a regular basis once again?
Both teams are sitting at 13 wins on the year, so it’s likely that they would make the NCAA Tournament this year. It would be even sweeter if the Huskies and Orange could renew their rivalry on the big stage of the postseason.
