Chip Kelly gives odd quote about new job with 49ers

One of the most tantalizing hires of the 2015 NFL season was Chip Kelly being brought on as the new head coach of the San Francisco 49ers. Fans of the team seemed to be 50-50 on the hire with half being furious and the other half being elated.

It seems as though more people will fall to the side of being furious with Kelly pretty soon. He was speaking with CSN Bay Area and gave a pretty odd quote about his new position with the Niners.

“When you fall out of a boat, sometimes you land in crap and sometimes you land in San Francisco,” Kelly said.

I guess you could see this as a good thing as him saying this could be taken as Kelly avoiding an ugly situation by getting a new job almost immediately.

Either way, I am happy that Kelly is a head coach somewhere and we will get to see what he can do with this team going forward.
