Offensive tackle Joe Thomas’s time with the Cleveland Browns could be up very soon. The former first round pick of the 2007 Draft will see his contract expire this offseason and he may not get a renewal going forward.
He was nearly traded to the Broncos before the 2015 trade deadline. He doesn’t want his career to end with the Browns and he talked about that earlier this week.
“Certainly I love the people in Cleveland,” Thomas said on WYKC, via the Akron Beacon Journal. “It’s my home. I love the city. I love everything about it. So I definitely want to be part of the turnaround.”
Since being drafted, Thomas has started every game with the Browns and if he’s wiling to make a deal with the team, they would be smart to work with him.
