Prior to the beginning of Monday Night Raw, WWE tweeted out that a “major star” would be making a return to the company during the show. With it airing from Miami, it was pretty clear that the returning star was The Rock.
He made his appearance on the show and was in rather rare form. He was a lot more chipper than he usually is and he showed that by joking with the people in the backstage area, including fellow 305 native Rick Ross.
When he made his way out to the ring, the former Miami Hurricanes star threw up “The U”, as per usual in Miami, much to the delight of many fans in attendance.
The Rock was a part of the 1991 national championship team and would have possibly moved on to the NFL had he not suffered an injury the following year and was replaced by future NFL Hall of Fame inductee, Warren Sapp.
Either way, The Rock went on to have a terrific career in the squared circle and I’m pretty sure everyone is very happy about that.
