The Clemson Tigers lost a good chunk of talent along the defensive line for the 2016 season. Both defensive ends, Shaq Lawson and Kevin Dodd declared for the NFL, so it looks like they will have to replace those guys pretty soon.
The Tigers could be getting a huge piece to their defensive line very soon. While he isn’t a defensive end, number one overall recruit in the country, five-star defensive tackle Rashan Gary, seems pretty close to making his decision and it looks like it has come down to the two teams that played for the national championship, per Gary’s mother.

His mother also confirmed that he will take his final official visit to Clemson this weekend.

Gary is the top-ranked recruit at any position in the nation and he would be a big pickup for whoever gets him. In addition to the Tigers and Crimson Tide, Gary has also visited Auburn, Ole Miss, Michigan, and USC.
