Chargers may join USC, Rams at LA Coliseum for 2016-18 seasons

The USC Trojans already know that they will be joined by the Los Angeles Rams in the LA Coliseum for the 2016-2018 seasons. It certainly looks like they could be joined by one more NFL team for the next few seasons as well.

The Rams announced their move back to Los Angeles from St. Louis in December and they knew they would share a stadium with the Trojans for the next three seasons while their new stadium is being built in Inglewood. According to the Los Angeles Times, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Commission will meet on Thursday to discuss the possibility of opening their doors to the San Diego Chargers as well.

The Chargers were given the option to move from San Diego to Los Angeles, joining the Rams in 2017. However, the Commission has the ability to allow the Chargers to begin playing in the Coliseum beginning in 2016.

This would benefit USC, who has the managing rights to the stadium, greatly simply because they would profit from two NFL teams or possibly the league paying them.
