Derrick Brown refutes reports of final three

Five-star defensive tackle Derrick Brown is one of the most talented players in the country and right now, just about every team in the country would love to have him on their team. Earlier on Thursday, there were reports that he was down to three schools, all of them being in the SEC.

The three schools were Tennessee, Auburn, and defending SEC and national champion Alabama. Brown will be making his decision live on ESPN2 on National Signing Day next week, but he took to Twitter to deny any reports that he had narrowed his list down to just three.

I guess that goes to show why you always have to be careful about what you are reporting. Right now, Brown, a Buford, Georgia native, has been offered by nearly every major program in the country, including Georgia and USC.

We will just have to wait on what Brown’s decision will be. He will do so during the 3 p.m. hour on SportsCenter on Feb. 3 on ESPN2.
