Mercer basketball mourns the death of Jibri Bryan

The Mercer Bears are mourning the death of a star basketball player after guard Jibri Bryan was killed Tuesday night in a drive-by shooting. It was a terrible tragedy that many have been saddened by the last 18 hours.

Bryan was a redshirt senior and was part of the Bears’ team in 2014 that upset Duke in the first round and won the ESPY for Upset of the Year. During the 2014-15 season, he averaged 7.8 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

As someone who personally knew the Savannah, Georgia native, myself and Campus Sports would like to send their condolences to the entire Mercer and Bryan family.
