One of the most talked about controversies over the last few months has been whether the WWE would clear former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan. He has been dealing with several head and neck injuries that has kept him out of action for the last two years outside of a few months last spring.
Despite being cleared by several outside physicians, Bryan never received clearance from WWE doctors. On Monday, he announced his official retirement due to medical reasons and that he would be on tonight’s Raw to elaborate on the situation.
Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I'll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude

This is certainly some tough news for all professional wrestling fans to take. Bryan’s career has stretched 17 years as he has won championships across the globe from New Japan Pro Wrestling to Ring of Honor to WWE.
