Todd Fitch named new La Tech offensive coordinator

Skip Holtz and Todd Fitch are once again reuniting in the college coaching scene. The two have worked together many times in the past and they are now back together at Louisiana Tech.

On Friday, the team announced that they were working on a deal to bring Fitch, who just been relieved of his duties by Scott Loeffler at Boston College a month earlier, in to run the offense. They announced that he had been hired as offensive coordinator of the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Holtz came to Shreveport in 2013 and has led the team to back-to-back nine-win seasons and bowl wins. He and Fitch have worked together at East Carolina and South Florida in their 20-plus years of coaching college football.

“Really excited about the opportunity to be a part of it and hopefully help this program continue to grow,” Fitch said. “Obviously make great strides over the past couple of years and Skip has been here.”

The Bulldogs have always been a competitor in the Conference USA and it looks like their offense will be getting a big boost from Fitch, who should keep their same scheme intact for the future.
