Jibri Bryan’s HS team honors him with shooting shirts

The Mercer basketball team was devastated last week when they heard the news of star point guard Jibri Bryan being killed in a shooting near the campus. Bryan’s high school team was also pretty devastated, so they decided to honor him in a pretty cool way.

Benedictine Military School out of Savannah, Georgia participated in the region basketball tournament Wednesday night. When they hit the court, they wore shooting shirts that honored Bryan in one of the coolest ways possible.

Bryan was helping the Bears possibly compete for another Atlantic Sun championship and was a part of the 2014 team that upset the Duke Blue Devils in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

To top things off, the Cadets ended up winning their game and advanced in the region tournament.

They also celebrated a spot in the state tournament by gathering together at midcourt in a way to thank Bryan for watching over them in spirit.
