Providence had a rough go of it when visiting Big East foe Marquette Wednesday night, losing 96-91 and falling to 6-6 in Big East play. Providence star Kris Dunn was stifled throughout the affair, coming away with only 17 points in 39 minutes. As such, Dunn was the subject of constant heckling from the Marquette crowd, especially in crunch time.
An example of that was while Dunn was attempting a free throw in the final minutes, Jamey Schilling, a Marquette sophomore, kindly requested that Dunn miss it, offering him $10 to do so.
The senior point guard, who likely did not hear the proposition, missed the attempt.
Nonetheless, Schilling made good on his bet, mailing a $10 check to the Providence athletic department Thursday.
Dear @PCAthletics ,
The check is in the mail. #providenceCollegeAthletics pic.twitter.com/JlXgZfukam

Now that’s sportsmanship.
