Vandy steals away Osia Lewis from San Diego State

|

The Vanderbilt Commodores are trying to turn things around in the SEC and they are starting off by bringing in a new defensive assistant for the future. This could really help them after their defensive line has been missing a good piece to help them out.

It was announced on Friday that the Commodores had hired Osia Lewis away from San Diego State. He has ran the team’s defensive line the past five years.

This leaves Aztecs head coach Rocky Long in a position he hasn’t felt at all so far. He will have fill a coaching vacancy for the 2016 season.

As for Lewis’s role with the Commodores, he isn’t expected to be given the role of defensive line coach. Head coach Derek Mason recently hired C.J. Ah You from Oklahoma to fill that role.
