Ohio State jumps Alabama as early 2017 CFP title favorite

Not too long after the Alabama Crimson Tide won their 16th national championship in January, Bovada.lv released its early odds for the 2017 College Football Playoff championship. Those had the Crimson Tide winning bringing home the championship once again and not too many could make an argument against it.

It looks like National Signing Day made a big difference in Bovada’s title odds for the 2016 season. They released their new odds and the Crimson Tide have been replaced by the first team to win the national championship in this era: Ohio State.

The Buckeyes made a big jump from being 12/1 favorites to leading at 6/1. The Crimson Tide, however, are not far behind at 7/1. You can see the full list here, but the top ten odds are as follows:

Ohio State 6/1
Alabama 7/1
Clemson 15/2
Michigan 15/2
LSU 14/1
Oklahoma 14/1
Tennessee 14/1
Baylor 16/1
Notre Dame 16/1
Stanford 16/1

What do you think, fans? Is this an accurate assumption for the Buckeyes or is it still too early to tell what will happen?
