Colts, Packers to play in 2016 Hall of Fame Game

The NFL preseason usually doesn’t mean much in terms of determining how the NFL season will go, but it does usually mean one thing for fans: football is finally back. The Hall of Fame Game is easily one of the most important games of the preseason.

This is because it is always played a week before every other preseason game and the day after that year’s Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This year’s Hall of Fame Game will feature two teams that will watch a few of their own legends be forever enshrined in greatness.

The NFL announced on Tuesday that the Indianapolis Colts and Green Bay Packers will play in the game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium on August 7, the day after the Hall of Fame Ceremony in Canton.

The Colt will watch former coach Tony Dungy and legendary wide receiver Marvin Harrison be inducted while the Packers will watch legendary quarterback Brett Favre go in as a first-ballot selection.
