Video: ‘Jeopardy!’ contestant misses easy Jesse Owens-Ohio State question

When you think of contestants on the popular game show “Jeopardy!” you think that they are either really good at studying trivia or are just that intelligent. Apparently, after Monday’s episode, it has become pretty clear that they don’t know much about sports, if anything at all.

Contestant Chris was given a question about former Olympic runner, Jesse Owens. He was given the clues “Big Ten” and “Buckeyes” but still couldn’t give the correct answer of “Ohio State.”

That’s embarrassing. I mean, I understand if you don’t know sports, but how do you live in this country and not know 1. who Jesse Owens is and 2. what school’s mascot are the Buckeyes?

It doesn’t surprise me that he ended up losing.
