Video: QB recruit dodges exercise balls during workout

One great technique to have as a quarterback is when you can escape pressure and move around the pocket to get open looks down the field. Some quarterbacks have some odd training methods on how to do this, but 2017 quarterback recruit Jay Urich just experienced one of the oddest.

He was working out with instructor Ramon Robinson on Tuesday and he had a pretty odd training regimen. Former New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs posted a video of him dodging exercise balls as if he was dodging rushers in the pocket.

That is certainly a unique way to learn pocket mobility. If Urich is going to end up being a great college quarterback, that is one of the most important skills.

Urich has earned offers from South Carolina, East Carolina, Duke, and Kentucky and is currently leaning towards becoming a Wildcat.
