In January, the football world was shocked when reports that Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson would retire surfaced. His decision came after struggling to get much going the last few years of his nine-year career.
However, it looks like those reports might turn out to be rumors.
It was reported by Mike O’Hara that Lions GM Bob Quinn said Johnson is still undecided on his NFL future.
More Rod Wood on Calvin Johnson: "Bob Quinn (Lions GM) talked to him. Calvin has not made a decision."

Johnson has easily been one of the best receivers in the NFL of the last decade since he was drafter number two overall in the 2007 NFL Draft. He has recorded 1,000 yards through the air every year except two, including breaking the single-season receiving yards record in 2012 with 1,964.
The Lions would benefit greatly from having Johnson return for a few more years. However, with the way Johnson let this news slip, it might be only a matter of time before he does hang up his cleats for good.
