The Mississippi State Bulldogs likely won’t make the NCAA Tournament without winning the SEC tournament this year, but they just hurt the chances of another team looking to make a late-season push.
The Alabama Crimson Tide had won five straight games entering Saturday’s match-up with the Bulldogs. They ended up falling to the Bulldogs, 67-61, mostly thanks to the play of Mississippi State guard Quinndarry Weatherspoon.
Weatherspoon broke away towards the goal looking to throw down an emphatic dunk. Alabama’s Riley Norris looked to defend the play, but Weatherspoon made a huge play to knock down a rim-rocking dunk.
That was pretty sick. Weatherspoon ended up ending the game with 15 points and four rebounds. These two points were probably his most impressive.
