There’s no questioning that today’s slate of college basketball games were pretty weak compared to Saturday’s game. However, to mid-major schools fighting for a spot in the NCAA Tournament put on a show as Colgate and Loyola Maryland pushed each other to the brink.
The two teams went into overtime and it was a back-and-forth game the entire time. It looked like they would go to a second overtime period before Austin Tillotson hit a half-court buzzer beater to give Colgate the upset win.
The best thing about that win was that it was “Senior Day” and Tillotson capped off his career on his homecourt with an amazing shot. The Raiders pulled off the big win and moved to 9-7 in the Patriot League and are now tied for fourth with Navy.
