Texas A&M QB commit Tate Martell scares fans by tweeting offer from Jake Spavital

The Texas A&M Aggies have had a string of bad luck with quarterbacks the last few years. The team dismissed Kenny Hill in 2014 and he joined the TCU roster and will likely be their starter in 2016.

Following the 2015 season, they lost both Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray to transfer to Houston and Oklahoma respectively leaving their quarterback situation in disarray. They got a pretty big scare from another quarterback commit on Wednesday.

He tweeted out a message that said he had been offered by his “favorite coach” Jake Spavital. This scared fans because Spavital is the former offensive coordinator with the Aggies and he just recently took the job at Cal.

Naturally, A&M fans took to Twitter and started freaking out, especially since the Golden Bears are in need of a quarterback after Jared Goff left for the NFL.

This could be a bad situation getting worse for Aggie fans. Martell is a five-star dual threat quarterback for the class of 2017 and is considered one of the best available.
