Despite major push-back from the SEC and ACC, the Michigan Wolverines headed down to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida and will hold spring training practices at the sports academy. Jim Harbaugh and his team headed down south this weekend and Monday morning, they opened camp.

The team announced their intentions to head down to Florida in December and it almost immediately brought up a lot of criticism from around the country. ACC commissioner John Swofford spoke out against it and said that it’s wrong for them to be so close to recruits.
However, despite there being a handful of top recruits attending IMG, the Wolverines took extra caution to ensure they wouldn’t be breaking any NCAA rules. They said on Twitter that recruits weren’t allowed to attend their practices until Friday.

At least they know the rules they are supposed to follow. You always have to be careful with this kind of stuff and the Wolverines sure seem to have their stuff together when it comes to this situation.
