The West Virginia Mountaineers are trying to find their spot in the Big 12 and it hasn’t been an easy ride since their move in 2012. They are going to try something different for the 2016 season and it starts with their turf.
On Monday, the team revealed the new design for their turf at Milan Puskar Stadium. It is not a huge alteration to the field, but it should be welcomed by many of the fans.

Now, this might not be the Mountaineers’ biggest issue, but it could end up being a change that helps them turn things around. However, I think many would hope head coach Dana Holgorsen isn’t placing all his eggs into one basket.
Since the Mountaineers made the jump to the Big 12, they haven’t had better than an 8-5 record, which they posted in 2015. It has been a tough struggle for the team and they may be making more than just a change to their field after the 2016 season.
