Karl-Anthony Towns is one of the best rookies in the NBA this year, but he sure hasn’t forgotten where he came from. He showed that today as his former team, the Kentucky Wildcats, took the court against the LSU Tigers for Senior Day.
While the Wildcats will likely lose a handful of players this year, only one of them will be leaving as a senior. Alex Poythress was the lone senior honored in Lexington today and Towns showed his support for him before the game.

The Wildcats pulled off the big 94-77 win over LSU, exacting some revenge for their loss in Baton Rogue earlier this season. The win gave John Calipari’s team a share of the SEC regular season title with the Texas A&M Aggies.
Poythress had a big game for his team as he finished the day with 12 points and three rebounds. He has been a big piece of the team for the last four years and he will certainly try to help them to the SEC and national championships this year.
