Iowas State forward Georges Niang is one of the best players in the history of the Big 12 and will likely go down as the best Cyclone in history as well. During their season finale on the road against top-ranked Kansas, the Cyclones experienced a pretty classy move.
The Jayhawks were honoring their seniors during their Senior Night ceremony. During the ceremony, however, the Jayhawk faithful decided to show their respect to Niang as they gave him a standing ovation.

Georges Niang is doing postgame radio show. He's finished watching speeches. Bob Davis calls him out, getting standing O.

Niang is a 2,000-point scorer with the Cyclones and he has been one of the big reasons why Iowa State has seen a resurgence in basketball the last few years. We can only hope that these two teams meet up in the Big 12 tournament next week.
This is a great showing of respect by the Jayhawks as they recognize a great young player in Niang. There is no doubt we will see him at the next level.
