Brionte Dunn gets shot to replace Ezekiel Elliott at Ohio State

|

Brionte Dunn will be a name to keep a close eye on throughout spring football and leading up to the upcoming college football season.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are losing a lot of talent to the 2016 NFL Draft, so they will be forced to replace those players in the starting lineup. Brionte Dunn is one of those players who will have an opportunity to shine in Columbus, but he will have some of the biggest shoes to fill on offense.

While discussing potential replacements for star running back Ezekiel Elliott, Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer said he would like to give Dunn the first shot.

Meyer also mentioned redshirt freshman running back Mike Weber as a standout on the roster.

Replacing Elliott’s production will be difficult for Ohio State, so it would not be surprising to see the Buckeyes go with a running back by committee approach.

However, since Dunn is receiving the first crack at the starting job, perhaps he can impress the coaching staff enough to receive a bulk of the carries in 2016.
