Last season, Louisville quarterback Reggie Bonnafon lost his starting job just a few games into the year. Freshman sensation Lamar Jackson took over for the Cardinals, but Bonnafon still found himself on the field for a good bit of the year.
He ended up seeing some playing time as a running back and wide receiver throughout the year and was pretty productive. On Monday, he showed off a good reason why he might see some more playing time at the latter position this year by proving he has a very impressive vertical leap.
I think it’s pretty safe to say that Jackson would love to be throwing to his quarterback counterpart this year. Reggie Bonnafon is still listed as a quarterback going into spring practices, but I think coaches may want to rethink that for now.
And it isn’t like he didn’t have a good year for the Cardinals at those positions. He rushed for 175 yards and caught 10 passes for 105 yards, so he could help them out tremendously this year.
And if he doesn’t want to continue his career on the gridiron, I am sure Rick Pitino could use some help on the hardwood next November.
