The biggest question on everyone’s minds the last few weeks has been who the Dallas Cowboys will select with their fourth overall pick in the NFL Draft in April. It looks like defensive end could be out of the picture right now as former Los Angeles Ram Chris Long could be making his way to Jerry World.
According to multiple reports, Long, who was surprisingly cut by the Rams in late February, is set to visit the Cowboys. Adam Schefter reported the news early Wednesday morning and it comes after the defensive end visited NFC East rival, the Washington Redskins.
Through his career with the Rams, Chris Long has been one of the better pass rushers in the NFC. After being the second overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, Long has gone on to recorded 54.5 sacks, including 13 in 2011 and eight forced fumbles.
Picking up Long could be the answer the Cowboys need. It would give them even more reason to draft a cornerback like Jalen Ramsey in April or even taking defensive end Joey Bosa to give the team one of the scariest defensive lines in the NFL.
