Johnny Manziel drawing interest from three teams

One of the most controversial names in the NFL today is Cleveland Browns’ quarterback Johnny Manziel. It seems like every week there is just another piece of the puzzle to add onto his saga.

Despite Browns’ new head coach Hue Jackson claiming the team to be done with Manziel, they have still yet to cut the quarterback. Now, it seems as though they could be shopping him around and three teams are reportedly interested in the 2013 first round draft pick.

The Cleveland Plain Dealer reported Wednesday evening that “as many as three teams” have shown interest in Johnny Manziel. This, as you would believe, has been just enough for the Browns to wait around and see if any team jumps at the chance to bring him in.

Manziel has had a pretty tumultuous career since coming into the league in 2013. He has made just eight starts in two seasons with the team and has a 2-6 record in those starts.

In those games, he has thrown for 1,675 yards and seven touchdowns against seven interceptions. He has also rushed for 259 yards and a touchdown.

He certainly has a chance to be a starter in the NFL, but it’s likely that he would be brought in as a backup. If he can clear up his off-the-field antics, however, he could end up having the career so many were hoping for him to have.
