From the moment it began clear that Johnny Manziel had worn out his welcome in Cleveland, there had been rumblings regarding the possibility of the former Texas A&M star joining the Dallas Cowboys.
However, just 24 hours following his release it looks like he will not be getting a call from Jerry Jones anytime soon.
According to David Moore of the Dallas Morning News, the Cowboys have “no intention” to meet with or sign Manziel. Not only does Dallas lack interest in the man known as “Johnny Football,” they will not consider the possibility“until he gets his life back in order.”
Ouch.
Johnny Manziel once had a promising career, but it has been derailed by the constant drama off the field. Most recently, Manziel found himself in a very serious domestic situation where he allegedly hit and threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend and himself.
Whether Manziel gets another shot in the NFL remains to be seen, but it doesn’t look like the Dallas Cowboys will be willing to extend a helping hand in the near future.
