The Syracuse Orange surprisingly made the NCAA Tournament on Sunday and won’t even have to play in the First Four Tuesday or Wednesday. They were listed as a No. 10 seed, much to the chagrin of many “Bracketology” experts.
CBS didn’t send cameras to watch the Orange’s possible reaction to their tournament bid. Luckily, someone caught it on film and they went as crazy as you would imagine them to.
The Orange finished the season 19-13 and had an early exit from the ACC championship tournament. All the signs for them to miss the Big Dance this year were there, but the basketball gods thought differently for Syracuse.
The team will face off against No. 7 Dayton in the Roung of 64 in the Midwest region bracket on Friday. This comes just a year after the team self-imposed a postseason ban on themselves in Jim Boeheim’s final season with the team.
The game against the Flyers is slated to take place at 12:15 p.m. EST on CBS.
