Video: Drake distracts player, causes 5-second violation

We all know that rap megastar Drake is a huge basketball fan. We also know that Drake, a native of Toronto, is a huge Toronto Raptors fan.

So when the Raptors have a home game, it’s not unusual to see Drake courtside talking junk to the opposing team. During last night’s game against the Chicago Bulls, Drake played a pretty key role near the end of the game when he got in the ear of Justin Holliday during a crucial in-bounds play.

With less than 30 seconds left on the clock, Holliday was attempting to throw the ball in-bounds, but was distracted by Drake. It ended up costing him as he couldn’t get the ball in play within the five seconds, giving possession back to the Raptors.

When the 6-god is on your side. 😂😂😭

Despite help from Drake, the Raptors couldn’t take advantage of the turnover. They went on to lose the game, 109-107, giving the Bulls some more to room to work with near the bottom of the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

With the Raptors looking to be at least the second seed in the playoffs, Drake could end up playing an even bigger later on down the road.
