Makai Mason speaks on Duke’s light recruitment

The Yale Bulldogs pulled off a huge upset when they dominated the Baylor Bears on Thursday to get their first NCAA Tournament win in team history. Their win came after a big game for point guard Makai Mason.

On Friday, Mason wasted little time making appearances in social media. He joined “The Dan Patrick Show” and talked about the Duke Blue Devils, their opponents in the Round of 32, gave him little love in the recruiting game.

He talked about how Duke sent him a letter his freshman year of high school, but lost interest in him after watching him play in an AAU game. He addressed their light recruitment and talked about getting his shot to show them what he can do on Saturday.

In the win over the Bears, Mason scored a career-high 31 points, six rebounds, and four assists. That is a pretty impressive stat for his NCAA Tournament debut.

If he does that on Saturday and leads the Bulldogs to the Sweet Sixteen over Duke, I am sure the Blue Devils will know exactly who Makai Mason is.
