Nebraska WR Brandon Reilly cited for DUI

The Nebraska Cornhuskers finished the 2015 season 6-7 as they were one of the three 5-7 teams to be invited to and win a bowl game. They are looking to build off of that into 2016, but they may have to do it without second-leading wide receiver Brandon Reilly.

Reilly was pulled over Saturday night for driving 65 in a 60 mph zone and making an illegal turn. He was cited for DUI first offense, negligent driving, and failure to signal.

Officers reportedly smelled alcohol on Reilly and gave him an immediate blood alcohol test. He blew a .015, nearly twice the legal limit in the state of Nebraska.

Luckily, Reilly wasn’t arrested for the incident and will likely just have be punished by the team. He is expected to be a big part of their success next season.

Brandon Reilly recorded 754 yards and four touchdowns on 40 catches in 2015. This was second behind leading receiver Jordan Westerkamp.
