The Michigan State Spartans men’s basketball team watched its season come to a shocking end after being upended by the No. 15 seed Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders in the first round of the 2016 NCAA Tournament.
While it was a very disappointing way for the team’s season to come to an end, they are keeping their heads up and using the heart-breaking loss as motivation for next season.
Hondo Carpenter of SpartanNation.com shared a photo of Tum Tum Nairn, Jr. and Gavin Schilling preparing for the upcoming season by coming together to watch film in a dorm room. It’s something that Tom Izzo has to appreciate.

The Spartans will be losing a number of key players in the offseason — most notably Denzel Valentine — but they welcome a top recruiting class and should be poised for another run in March.
