The Duke Blue Devils fell to the Oregon Ducks during the Sweet Sixteen Thursday night and it was a pretty emotional loss for the defending national champions. It was especially emotional for senior center Marshall Plumlee.
Plumlee took to Instagram after the loss and gave a tribute to his teammates. He thanked them and said he was proud of them for what they had done this season.
Plumlee is the last of a long, successful line of players in Durham, North Carolina. He is the youngest of the Plumlee brothers and will likely move on to join his brothers, Mason and Miles, in the NBA.
During his career with the Blue Devils, Marshall Plumlee shot .665 percent from the field. He is certainly going to be missed once he moves on his career.
