Multiple scouts praise Karl Joseph

Former West Virginia safety Karl Joseph didn’t have the chance to show much of his skills off to scouts during the 2015 season after going down with a knee injury early in the season. However, he still seems to be having a showing ahead of the NFL Draft as he is getting praise from scouts all around the league.

Many scouts have been talking about Joseph and have been giving him positive marks. One in particular even went so far as to call him the best safety in the draft.

This kid is a good football player,” one scout said. “He’s better against the run, but he can cover well. After he got hurt he kind of fell off the radar, now people are starting to pick up on him again. He’s the best safety in the class.”

Other scouts have gone on to talk about his physicality. The scout called him “pound for pound of the most physical players.”

Before his injury last season, Karl Joseph recorded five interceptions in just four games. This puts him on track to have recorded at least 13 on the season.

While he may not get selected until the middle of the second round, Joseph has all the right makings of a great defensive back in the NFL.
