LeSean McCoy won’t face charges for Philly bar fight

One of the more controversial stories of the NFL offseason was one that happened on the night of the Super Bowl. Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy allegedly got involved in a fight with two off-duty police officers at a bar in Philadelphia, which sent the latter two to the hospital.

According to reports, however, McCoy will not be charged for his involvement, which reportedly included former NFL running back Curtis Brinkley. This comes after many have called for the charging of McCoy, including Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney.

“If McCoy wants to stomp our officers and pound our officers, then he needs to pay the price and answer for his actions,” Kenney told CBS Eyewitness News. “In addition to punches being thrown, there were some kicks that looked as if they were being leveled and that’s unconscionable and it’s cowardly.”

I don’t expect LeSean McCoy to face any kind of punishment from the Bills or the NFL especially since the case is being thrown out. However, I am sure someone is speaking to the running back about being a little more aware of what he does in his off-time.
