There was a time during the 2016 NFL Draft process when Noah Spence was considered a potential top 15 pick. However, since a lackluster performance at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis and reported struggles during one-on-one team interviews, Spence has watched his stock severely drop.
In a recent draft profile from nj.com, it was clear just how much the scouts have soured on Spence.
Some have gone as far as to say he has been completely removed from their team’s draft board.
“If you could overlook all of the other stuff, like the admission of being addicted to drugs, he’s a first-round pick for sure,” one scout said. “But how can you overlook all that stuff?”
Another scout echoed those character concerns.
“With all that baggage you can’t even think about him until the second, or third round. I mean you see talent there, but c’mon, there’s just too much to worry about with him,” another scout said.
It will certainly be interesting to see if Spence can get his stock trending in the right direction before the draft later this month, but currently, it looks like we could sitting around for a while until the former Eastern Kentucky and Ohio State standout hears his name called.
