Uber offers free rides to Turner Field for Braves’ Opening Day

Opening Day is one of the most exciting times of the year and baseball fans everywhere risk their jobs just to be able to see their favorite team open the season. While Uber can’t keep you from getting fired, it can get you to Turner Field for free if you are a Braves fan.

The Atlanta Braves open the season today against the Washington Nationals and Uber, one of the country’s biggest independent taxi services, announced that fans could get a free ride to Turner Field. The only catches were that you have to be 21 to get the discount and for it to be free, you probably already have to be relatively close to the stadium.

While fans on the other side of town will still likely have to pay something to get to or from the stadium, this is still a pretty cool incentive for Uber to be offering. I think other teams need to follow the Braves’ lead and start doing more things like this.
