When your father is as legendary in the NFL as former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Fred Taylor is, you are bound to be expected to do the same thing yourself.
That is exactly what Florida Gator running back Kelvin Taylor is expected to do in the NFL and it seems analyst Merrill Hoge believes in him.
During a NFL Draft media conference call Tuesday morning, jaguars.com senior writer John Oesher asked him about Taylor’s chances in the NFL. Hoge had nothing but good to say about him, calling Taylor “one of best runners I’ve seen in recent memory” and saying he has a chance to be a starter at the next level.

Right now, Taylor is projected as a late third-round selection, but he could end up being a steal in the NFL Draft if taken at the spot. He has proven that he could be a dominant piece in the NFL in just three years with the Gators.
Kelvin Taylor rushed for 1,035 yards and 13 touchdowns during the 2015 season. That more than doubled his career high and gave him a total of 2,108 yards and 23 touchdowns with Florida.
It certainly looks like he is getting the praise he needs. Let’s just hope that it isn’t all just hype for the former Gator and he can truly be a dominant player in the NFL.
