The Oregon Ducks basketball team had a historic season as they were a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever and just barely missed making their first Final Four since 1939. Star player Dwayne Benjamin decided he would try his hand at football for the Ducks and it didn’t last very long.
According to a since-deleted tweet by Oregon reporter Aaron Fenthress, Benjamin decided that he was done with football after just one day of spring practice with the Ducks. You can’t really blame him as he could end up being a big player at the NBA level.

Some speculated that Benjamin wasn’t very happy with the physicality of the sport and that is why he pulled out. He let everyone know that was not the case.

The Ducks’ football team were likely looking forward to having a six-foot-seven pass catcher like Dwayne Benjamin, but they will likely be just fine.
