Toledo cancels spring game due to snowstorm

This year’s weather has been pretty crazy so far and it looks like it has taken a big toll on one MAC team. The Toledo Rockets announced Saturday morning that the program would be canceling its spring game due to a snowstorm.

The Rockets were hoping to use this as an opportunity to get acclimated to their new head coach, Matt Candle. Toledo did announce that a youth football clinic would still go on as planned.

This isn’t the first time the Rockets have been majorly affected by weather. Last season, they had to call off their season opener against Stony Brook at the half due to a severe thunderstorm.

The Rockets are looking to have another great season after going 10-2 last year and upsetting the Arkansas Razorbacks. They should be able to compete in the conference in 2016 as well.
