When discussing the top wide receivers in the 2016 NFL Draft class, Notre Dame Fighting Irish standout Will Fuller is beginning to hear his name more commonly mentioned.
Recently, NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein ranked the players at the position and gave Fuller the edge over Ole Miss star Laquon Treadwell.
Zierlein addressed some minor concerns regarding Fuller, but noted the Fighting Irish product “possesses the coveted ability to hit the big play and score touchdowns.” That will be highly sought after later this month.
One of Zierlein’s colleagues, Daniel Jeremiah, also noted that Will Fuller could be the first receiver off the board.
It will be interesting to see how everything plays out over the next few weeks, but it will likely all come down to a team’s preference in the first-round and what they want in a top receiver. With guys like Fuller, Treadwell, Michael Thomas and Corey Coleman in the mix, there are plenty of talented players out there.
Who do you think should be the top pass catcher in this year’s draft class? Sound off in the comments section below.
