Over the weekend, the football world was rocked with the sad news of the murder of Will Smith, a former member of the New Orleans Saints and Ohio State Buckeyes.
In the days since his death, Smith has been remembered by his family and friends for the positive impact he has made on communities he has been involved in. Now, one of those former communities is stepping up to honor the former pass rushing star.
Tuesday morning, Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith announced the Buckeyes would be honoring Will Smith with a helmet decal during Saturday’s spring game.
The decal will feature Smith’s initials, along with a buckeye.
